Colorado Springs

The rugged scenery of the state of Colorado is well known and Colorado Springs was established as a tourist resort, attracting visitors because of its dry climate, mineral waters and the backdrop of the Rocky Mountains. Tourists have been coming here since the 1870s and fortune seekers were also attracted by the lure of gold and silver for a while.

Today, it is a modern city, important in its contribution to the nation's economy. There are several blue chip companies that have their base of operations here and the area is also a major center for military establishments and national defense agencies. The population has grown to such an extent that measures are being taken to tackle the problem of traffic congestion. There are numerous visitor attractions in Colorado Springs and an average of 250 days of sunshine a year to enjoy them in.

Psychology Major

Nowadays, psychology majors are more popular than ever. Only a few decades ago, it was a pretty rare field for someone to go into. A psychology major was not considered to be particularly practical back then. Everything was about industry, you see.

The hard sciences were taken much more seriously than the social sciences. Things have changed a lot since then, however. Nowadays, more than ever, people understand how much of a role psychology plays in everyday life. From love and romance to business management, psychology majors have unique insights that other people don't have in to how the human mind works.

I first decided to major in psychology after running into some problems my freshman year. I was having a lot of trouble adjusting to the school environment, and I wanted to see a school counselor. The school counselors were all just psychology graduate school students.

Anniversary Gift Ideas

I cannot tell you how much I stressed out over finding the perfect 1st anniversary present idea for my girlfriend. The funny thing is that she is not very sentimental. To be honest, she couldn't care less about what one year anniversary gift ideas I pick for her.

Don't get me wrong, she loves when I pay attention to her. It's just that she is not one for ritual. She likes to spend time together, but she doesn't care if we do it in the formal, so-called correct way. An anniversary present, for her, is just like any other present. The whole point is to show each other the love that we feel.

Nonetheless, I spent a whole week thinking of nothing but anniversary gift ideas. I contemplated everything. I went to hallmark, I went to the bookstore, I went to the museum gift shop, and I even looked for online anniversary gift ideas. Everywhere I looked, however, seemed to give me something that wasn't quite right.

Travel Agency

Your vacation time is coming up. Most of us get just one lengthy vacation each year. You want to get the most out of your time and hard-earned money. Getting a good price on airfare and accommodations leaves more money for sightseeing and shopping.

Unless you're an expert researcher - who enjoys doing the research - you'll do well to consult a travel agency to help you make your arrangements. Using a travel agency frees up your valuable time and assures a smoothly coordinated trip. This is particularly true with the new restrictions in etiquette and luggage contents now imposed on travelers.

How do you know the travel agency you choose is reputable? There are two excellent signatures. Recommendations from seasoned travelers who use the same travel agency again and again are highly credible.

Another earmark of a reputable travel agency is membership in ASTA, the American Society of Travel Agents. ASTA agents are provided education through seminars and industry events which keep them on the cutting edge of the latest travel requirements and resources with which to best serve their customers. Now, let's take a look at some of the other advantages of the travel agency.

Spinach Salad

We all know that Popeye the Sailor Man thrived on spinach. When a crisis arose, out came that can of spinach to fortify him and win the day. It's not clear how many kids of his day were convinced to join him.

However unappealing that meal appeared, the virtues of spinach are many. Fresh spinach is full of iron and a bevy of vitamins, many of them antioxidants. Antioxidants are now known to help prevent cancer and the plentiful B vitamins help build muscle strength. Selenium, an important trace mineral and cancer fighter, rounds out the list of laudable nutrients found in spinach.

Nutritional qualities aside, properly prepared spinach is delicious. One of the most delectable meals to be made of this green powerhouse is the spinach salad. If you've never tried one, you're in for a treat.

Kittens For Sale

I am a cat lover. If you are also one you no exactly what I mean. I can sit and watch a cat for hours. Of course the cats I live with are the most beautiful and intelligent ones that were ever created, but I also enjoy watching other cats.

You may notice I did not say the cats I own. I do not think it is possible to own a cat. They are simply too independent in nature. They choose to let us remain in the same space with them and I have no doubt they would leave in a second if they thought the neighbor would treat them better.

There are times when I cannot believe how life works out. Almost three years ago I was a social worker for a county government agency. My case load consisted of children with mental health needs that were placed in foster homes or residential treatment facilities.

Science Diet Dog Food

Have you ever made the assumption that because a product is on the market it is safe? This unfortunately is not true. There are lawsuits before the courts on a weekly basis because of some of the poor quality things that are on the market. My husband had a very bad experience with a poor product that almost cost him the life of his dog.

About seven months prior to our marriage my husband bought a black lab puppy. My husband is a duck hunter and he was raised in a family that always owned a lab. The puppy was very smart and so his training went quite smoothly.

We did not have very much money when we were first married and we were saving for a home. We were always looking for ways to save money. When the puppy got to be a year old we switched it from puppy chow to adult dog food. We were feeding him food that we bought from a large farm supplier.

Fuel Mileage

Nowadays, there is no greater buzzword than fuel economy. Although people have been worried about fuel mileage for years now, up until recently we assumed that our concerns were temporary. We would worry about gas mileage whenever there was a spike, of course, but as soon as the prices went down again, we would get back into our gas guzzling trucks and go for a spin.

Intellectually, most of us have known for some time that the fossil fuels are running out. We have known that, sometime sooner or later, we would have to switch to some kind of alternative fuel. Nonetheless, this concern has always seemed remote and abstract most people. Recently, however, it has become a much more immediate concern.

My cousin is a perfect example. As a contractor, fuel mileage plays an important role in his everyday life. He has always loved driving big trucks, both because of his appreciation of their looks, and also because they are great for building contractors like him. Recently, however, he has become completely neurotic about fuel mileage.
