Looking At Car Audio Systems
I don’t want to tell anyone what to do in their own home, and I certainly don’t want to tell anyone what to do in their own car, but there are limits that even I have. I think there is something great about having great car audio systems, but lets face it, some of them are just ridiculous.
Your system should be quality over quantity. What I mean by that is that you should have amazing sound in your car, but it should scare the sanity out of everyone within a five-block radius.
There are people moving in across the street from me and I know we are going to have issues. They have one of those car audio systems that should never have been installed in a car. Even worse, it looks like the system is worth more than the car.
They turn it up so that things on my dresser are shaking as they music plays. I’m sorry, but that is stupid and ridiculous. I’m glad you like your music, but you can’t even sit in your car comfortably with it that loud and you know it. I don’t care if it’s cool to have car audio systems that loud. If you wake up my kid, I am going to call the police until it stops.
Though there aren’t a lot of these car audio systems around me, I don’t want one living across the street. If they are driving down the street, a moment or two of it is absolutely no big deal. However, if you are going to stand around your car with it blaring and then yell at each other over top of the music, I am going to get upset, and I am going to get upset really fast.
There is such a thing as enjoying music, and then there is such a thing as having respect for those who live around you. Sitting around in your yard while your car audio systems are blaring on and on is not a good way to make friends with those who have lived in a peaceful neighborhood until you showed up.
If you want to blare your car audio systems blaring while you cruise down the highway or whatever, be my guest. However, don’t sit in the middle of a neighborhood that you know nothing about and just let it rip. You don’t know who lives there.
I have a child, and I know there are infants a few houses down. I’m sure they don’t like the noise either, and I know how hard it is to get babies back to sleep. There is an elderly couple next to me, and they have a right to peace. Enjoy your car audio systems, just don’t do it sitting in the middle of a residential neighborhood and act surprised when people get ticked off.
