Beautiful Outdoor Weddings
Lots of people like to get married outdoors. While outdoor weddings can be magical and absolutely beautiful, they might be harder to plan than an indoor wedding. There are lots of things to keep in mind when planning outdoor weddings. Always think about every possible scenario and you won’t be unprepared whenever anything happens.
The most common thing that can and will go wrong with an outdoor wedding is the weather. While it would be nice if you could place a phone call to Mother Nature and ask for a beautiful day, it just isn’t that simple. Suddenly, it may start to rain or storm. You may have a terribly windy day. The weather can be very unpredictable, so always have a backup plan ready just in case the need would arise.
A lot of times, initial planning may seem to show that outdoor weddings will be less expensive to have than an indoor wedding. Before you go putting a deposit down and not considering all of the possible scenarios, be sure to put some thought into it.
In case a stray shower or rainstorm should come along, having a tent put up is always a good idea. You can find out the weather report a few days before the wedding and if necessary, reserve a tent for the day. If a tent is needed, that will be an extra cost. Of course, tents don’t just protect you from the rain, it may be a hot and humid day and most of your guests don’t want to sit in the direct sunlight.
If you’re having an outdoor wedding when the weather may be a bit cooler, you may need to bring in some heaters for and enclosed tents or areas outside that people can warm themselves. One of the least favorite topics to address in regards to outdoor weddings is the uninvited guests – the bugs.
It is impossible to keep them all away from all of your guests but there are some things that you can do to deter some from crashing the party. If you have candles set up for décor, find some that repel bugs. Most likely, no one will know what the candles are actually for, other than simple decoration.
You can spray the outside area or seats with bug spray before all of the guests arrive, but there is a chance that the spray won’t linger for too long, depending on the weather. Make sure that your wedding invitations indicate that your wedding will be held outdoors so that people can plan their attire accordingly.
Most often, outdoor weddings go just as wonderfully as the bride had hoped. However, acts of nature can often create some chaos at the most inopportune moments. Think ahead and evaluate all possible scenarios before your wedding day arrives. The more ideas and plans that you have, the less stress you’ll feel on your special day. And, it is nice to be prepared for anything that may happen.
